Maine Clean Elections fund. District 49 voters (Cushing, Friendship, Warren and Union) can now use the web to make the $5 contributions Bob Baker needs to qualify for funding (and we can all use the site to support the fund generally). Follow this link to the state's secure page.

Our Annual John Syrett Lobster Bake fund raiser will be held August 17th at Crockett's Beach, Owls Head, at the home of Ken and Barbara Wexler. Become a program-listed Sponsor ($100, $250, $500) by 28 July. Payment for regular tickets ($30) must be received by 15 August. Lobster Festival volunteers needed to staff our political booth July 30 - Aug 3. We do not have a food booth this year. Call Carol Bachofner (594-8954). The parade is Saturday, Aug 2, and we need a strong group turnout, just like the Thomaston 4th. Assembly time and location TBA.

District 49 voters caucused July 14th in Warren and elected Bob Baker to replace place-holder Hugh Magbie as their Democratic candidate for the Maine House. Here is Bob's press release. District 49 voters can make the $5 donations Bob needs to qualify for Clean Elections funding here.
